Objectives of the Workshop

Organized by the Group of Telecommunications and Information Technologies (GTTI), this workshop serves as a key forum for the Italian Radar and Remote Sensing community. It fosters the exchange of cutting-edge research, facilitates discussions on emerging challenges, and encourages collaboration among experts in the field.

Parallel sessions have been planned for the involvement of AESS and GRSS members, Young Professionals, the IDEA (GRSS Technical Committee), and the WIE (Women in Engineering).
A Poster session will be held on the 29th morning for PhD students in their third year.
All discussion will involve the young researchers and PhD during the two days of the workshop.

Topics will include (but not limited to)

  • Radar Signal modelling and Data Processing
  • Cognitive Radar systems
  • Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISaC)
  • Use of signals of opportunity in radar and remote sensing
  • Radar Systems for Foliage/Ground/Building Penetration
  • SAR interferometry
  • polarimetry and tomography
  • Multispectral and Hyperspectral Remote Sensing
  • Image processing and classification in remote sensing
  • Machine Learning and AI in Remote Sensing
  • Quantum Computing applied to Remote Sensing
  • Data fusion Techniques
  • Big Geo data

Outcomes of the meeting are

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among research groups.
  • Connect and introduce early-career researchers to the Italian radar and remote sensing community.
  • Explore and discuss future research trends and emerging topics.
